Peanut Butter

Peanut butter has the right balance of protein and carbohydrates to help the dog’s body put that sugar to use so that it can be metabolized. Peanuts naturally contain protein as well as some basic carbohydrates. When these two work together, carbohydrates are used more efficiently as fuel. This is great for dogs that have diabetes as well. Peanut butter treats also have this incredible ability to reduce the bad breath of a dog. Peanut butter contains peanut oil. Peanut oil contains omega fatty-acids. These are not the direct cause for the better breath. The peanut oil has the ability to coat the smell produced by the bacteria, and helps pass the bacteria through the body, versus through the breath.
  • Omega fatty-acids reduce bad cholesterol.
  • Contains Vitamin H and Vitamin E.
    • Both help with skin, coat, and nails.
