Dr. Daryl Buss - Dean and Faculty Member, School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Wisconsin-Madison 

Dr. Buss’s principal research interests are related to coronary blood flow to the heart and the consequences of interruption of coronary blood flow. He is a professor of Cardiovascular Physiology and has amassed a large bibliography of research publications in his field. Dr Buss has successfully guided the School of Veterinary to
national recognition among Veterinary Schools in America. The School offers a four‐year professional degree program leading to the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree. The School is very adept in raising grants for research, and has recently launched a 100 million dollar capital campaign to build a new, state of the art
veterinary facility.

Marie Audier D'Alessandris - COACH – VP of Marketing

Ms. Marie Audier D’Alessandris has ten plus years as a beauty marketing executive within the L’Oreal Group, and now heads the international marketing department for COACH.  She has broad multi-cultural expertise in strategic brand management, advertising and new product development.  Marie received her Master of Science in Management in 1998 from Reims Management School, Sup de Co program in France.

Giuseppe D’Alessandro – Brand, Business Strategy and CPG Marketing Expert 

With over 20 year of experience in product strategy, innovation, branding, and global and multicultural marketing.  Proven expertise in delivering year-over-year market share and revenue growth in highly competitive industries and Fortune 100 companies, consistently exceeding targets.  Giuseppe has held increasing Marketing leadership roles: CMO at MARK ANTHONY BRANDS makers of Mike’s Hard Lemonade, VP Strategic Marketing at CONAGRA FOODS, VP Global Marketing at MAYBELLINE NEW YORK, L’Oreal Group, Director of Product Innovation and Multicultural at PEPSI-COLA, PepsiCo, International Marketing Manager at RENAISSANCE COSMETICS, Field Marketing Manager at COCA-COLA USA, and Associate Brand Manager at PHILIP MORRIS USA. Giuseppe is a Partner at Project 2050, a “culturally connected” group that delivers breakthrough content and innovations focus on millennials. Giuseppe earned an M.B.A., Marketing and Finance from COLUMBIA BUSINESS SCHOOL and a B.E., Mechanical Engineering from STEVENS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY.

Dr. Bill Gengler, DVM, DAVDC – Veterinary Dentist & Oral Surgeon

Dr. Gengler received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville, a Master of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri – Columbia.  Dr. Gengler is a Diplomat in the American Veterinary Dental College.  He has 25 years of general small animal practice and 17 years of specialty practice experience.  Bill founded the Animal Hospital of Verona, Verona, WI in 1978, which grew to a four doctor AAHA certified hospital.  From 1990 through 2010 he was a faculty member at the University of Wisconsin – School of Veterinary Medicine. He held a dual appointment at UW from 2003 to 2010 as Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs/Director of the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital and as the Section Head of Dentistry and Oral Surgery in the Department of Surgical Sciences.  Bill is a past president of the American Veterinary Dental College (AVDC), the recipient of the 2014 AVDC Service Award, the 2009 Hill’s Excellence in Dental Research and Education Award and was named the 2003 Veterinarian of the Year award by the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association.  He currently practices Dentistry and Oral Surgery in Dallas, TX and serves as president of the Veterinary Dental Forum, Inc. board of directors.

Bruce Hall - Former President of PETCO

Mr. Bruce Hall is an energetic, passionate, decisive and creative operator with 45 years of progressive, hands-on tactical and strategic contribution in building two premier US retailing brands, Toys 'R' Us and PETCO, respectively.  He has deep experience in all aspects of retail operations and customer-facing activities used to drive sales, heighten brand awareness, create exceptional customer satisfaction and loyalty, and increase bottom-line profitability.  Bruce's business and personal successes were achieved by leading with integrity and adhering to high ethical standards, treating everyone with respect and putting the customer first. 

Dr. James Marsden - Kansas State University Regent's Distinguished Professor of Food Safety

James Marsden serves as the Associate Director of the National Agricultural Biosecurity Center which is located at KSU.  His research focus has been on the safety of food for both humans and pets.  Dr. Marsden is the author of numerous publications and book chapters on food safety and quality and is the recipient of awards for research and teaching.  He has also appeared on numerous television news programs as a food safety expert.  Dr. Marsden also sits on the board of the Pet food safety council. 

Dr. Kanti Prasad - Ph. D., Dean and Faculty Member, Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee 

Dr. Prasad has been Dean of the Lubar School of Business since the academic year, 2002-2003.  He served as Interim Dean during the 2001-2002 academic year, and was Associate Dean of the School for 20 years, 1978-1998.  Dr. Prasad is currently a Professor of Marketing and the Bostrom Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation.  He received his Ph.D. in Marketing from Michigan State University in 1970.  Dr. Prasad has a long list of publications to his credit in market research.  As leader of the Lubar School of Business, it has been his mission to help create a nationally recognized urban business school known for high quality teaching and research.  Dr. Prasad brings much needed methodology and discipline in marketing and branding to the Isle of Dogs Corp.

Dan Steininger - President and founder of BizStarts

BizStarts facilitates the creation of new companies in Southeast Wisconsin. He currently writes a column for the Biz Times entitled “Innovate or Die” that is a Press Club winner. He also writes a monthly Blog for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel On‐Ramp. He is also the President of Steininger & Associates. The firm focuses on teaching the tools of innovation to drive growth for companies in all sectors of the economy. He was appointed by the Governor to the Wisconsin Workforce Investment Council and also serves on the state wide Small Business Development Corporation Advisory Council; as well as the Wisconsin Small Business Development Council. He currently teaches courses on innovation for the UWM School of Continuing Education for business leaders. He is the former CEO of a major financial institution and mutual fund. He also served as President of the Board of Harbor commissioners that oversees the Port of Milwaukee. In that capacity he also helped to shape Milwaukee’s lakefront. Is a graduate of Boston University Law school and frequently describes himself as a" recovering lawyer" and a "recovering CEO". He has served as Chairman of the Young Presidents Organization and the Wisconsin Presidents Organization; and Board Member of the Better Business Bureau. He has published in scholarly journals; appeared on Wall Street week;; and been written about in the New York Times.

Carlos Tribino - Chief Marketing Officer

Senior Marketing Executive with 20+ years experience. Expertise in digital marketing, innovation and branding. Proven track record with Fortune 500,entrepreneurial, client‐side and consulting experience with category‐defining brands like MTV, Giorgio Armani, Ferrari, Estee Lauder, Walt Disney, Coco‐Coal, Etc. Carlos was a part of the initial management team at Isle of Dogs and helped to create the brand. Carlos received his BA in Communications from New York University. He went on to study at Sorbonne University in Paris where he received his Media Studies Certificate. He also earned his MBA at Columbia University’s Business School.
