The Truth about Grooming Sprays and Wipes

Some dogs straight up hate the bath. Unfortunately, going without isn't an option.

The solution? Grooming wipes and sprays! Well... Maybe...

Check out some of the pros and cons to grooming wipes and sprays. There's no one-size grooming solution for all dogs, so weigh these options and pick your product.

Pro: Convenience

You can't beat how easy a wipe is for a quick clean-up or the odor-removing power of a spritz of a spray.

Con: Waste

Grooming wipes are the guilty party on this one. Unless you splurge on biodegradable, wipes aren't the eco choice.

Pro: Easy to use

Seriously, you can't make a mess with a wipe or a spray. Shampoos and conditioners get messy. Wipes and sprays don't. A thorough bath, especially with a dog who hates the tub, requires balancing product while keeping your pup contained (and keeping your phone dry while you capture your sudsy cutie).

Con: Not a bath replacement

You can't rely on wipes and sprays long-term. Eventually your dog is going to need a bath - like it or not.

Pro: Speedy results

Company coming over and your dog's caked in mud? Or her post-hike feet need a scrub before climbing in your car? Wipes save the day. Coming in from the rain with that wet-dog smell? A spray can fix that right up!

The bottom line: For quick fixes and on-the-go cleanliness, you can't beat the convenience and odor-fighting power of grooming wipes and sprays. Then, pick an amazing shampoo (and a bag of treats) to help your pup enjoy the bath when she really does need a good scrub.
